Inspired by an original, but never held back by it. The new adidas Originals Nite Jogger features an inversion of the OG’s colourway, bringing the sharp contrast of black and orange to the new shape. With a BOOST midsole added in for comfort, hints of Orange and functional reflective accents, the Nite Jogger proves that it’s never too late to evolve, and was re-designed to stand out after dark. Attention to detail has been paid across the shoe, with small morse code on the outsole reading “The Speed of Nite”.
We headed down to the launch event in Peckham to take a closer look at the Nite Jogger, and learn more about the technologies behind the silhouette. Upon arrival, guests were gifted an envelope containing a Nite Jogger credit card which deposited tokens to spend on beverages and activities themed around the shoe throughout the night.
Greeted by an abandoned garage, the space was kitted out with fuelling stations and different DIY set-ups, with the exterior featured retro Sony televisions displaced upon steel cages with looped VHS footage. Inside, the adidas Nite Jogger could be picked up from refrigerators. Shutters up, guests were welcomed into the brand’s interactive space for the duration of the event. The space housed a CYBER WORLD 24/7 ORIGINALS Scanning Lab where you could create your own custom prints using analogue photocopying techniques, a working darkroom with photographs being shot, developed and scanned on the spot, and a working Morleys Chicken Shop.
